Students from the Maritime Community Ecology Lab of Stony Brook University, School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences completed the aquatic survey of Georgica Pond today. Under the direction of Dr. Brad Peterson, they will be back in September.
The water quality in the pond is good and the salinity is approximately 15 psu (practical saline units), about half the salinity of the nearby ocean water.
